If any marketing agency or SEO “Consultant” claim they can get you into the #1 spot on Google, run quickly. It’s possible, but it won’t happen fast. If they are able to accomplish this quickly, they’re most likely using some kind of fishy tactics. This will give you a temporary boost in the search results but will penalize you in the very near future. Google will make you pay for it, then it will be impossible to even rank on the front page of Google.


Google Partnership Promises

This is yet another red flag to be careful of. There are many individuals who claim they can make you a Google partner. Of course, this sounds glamorous to the average small business or business owner hungry to reach the top of the search results. It’s simply a technique to get your money. Now, it is possible to become a Google partner, but, it’s not ideal for a business unless it’s a company who plans on spending thousands of dollars a month on advertising.


Professionals Do Not Support Link Exchanging

If a company or professional encourages link exchanging, they’re not worth taking further steps with. Linking your web pages to other sites in hope to seem more authoritative will not yield desirable results. If anything, it will only deteriorate your current search ranking by making your website seem less authoritative.

More importantly, you have no clue when Google will change their algorithms or what your competitors are planning for their SEO efforts neither. There are a lot of contingencies that must be accounted for. Anyone guaranteeing a high position is more than likely going to use fishy tactics that will get you penalized by Google in the long run.


SEO is complicated without a doubt. You need a company or agency that understands this, and that will create a strategic plan to achieve desirable results. However, it will require capital and patience on your part. The results will come, but SEO takes time.
